FAQ
The questions everyone asks first.
Straight answers about how Bowman Effect works. Anything else — just ask.
What does a fractional CMO engagement look like?
Typically a defined number of days per month, agreed up front, working as part of your leadership team: strategy, planning, team direction and board-level reporting. Engagements flex up or down as your needs change.
How many days a month do I get?
Most engagements run between two and eight days a month depending on scope. We agree the shape together after an initial conversation about what you need marketing to achieve.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few weeks. An investment review or a defined project can often start sooner than an ongoing fractional engagement.
What industries do you work with?
Jennifer's background spans complex, multi-national B2B organisations, with deep experience in the gaming and technology sectors — but the approach applies wherever marketing needs to be commercially accountable.
Where are you based — and do you travel?
Bowman Effect is based in the Cotswolds, UK, and works with clients across EMEA, LATAM, APAC and North America — backed by a deep network of trusted local partners in every region. Leadership work is remote-first; when something needs doing in person, Jennifer is on the ground wherever and whenever the work calls for it. The model is deliberately flexible: the right expertise, exactly where and when you need it.
What does a Marketing Investment Review cost?
It's a fixed-scope, fixed-fee piece of work sized to your marketing operation. Tell us roughly what your marketing spend looks like and we'll quote the review up front — no open-ended consulting meter. For larger marketing or event cost-optimisation programmes, alternative commercial models can also be agreed — including fees linked to the savings delivered.
What is the cost for luxury event project management?
Luxury events are our specialty, not delivering surprise invoices for our services. Our fees are based on your total event budget: share that with us and a rough idea of what your event needs, and we'll quote the work up front. Alternative commercial models can also be agreed for larger events, or if you're under pressure to show year-over-year savings and need help delivering excellence — without compromising the experience.
Can you help increase footfall at our trade show stand or booth?
Yes. Trade shows and expos are a core part of Jennifer's event experience — including gaming-industry shows such as G2E Las Vegas and ICE Barcelona, and the same approach works at any trade show or expo. Footfall is won well before the doors open: audience and guest strategy, invitation and meeting-booking campaigns, and PR and social so the right buyers arrive planning to visit. On the stand, the experience concept and brand activation give people a reason to stop, and sales enablement makes every conversation count.
Why is footfall on our stand so low?
Usually for one of three reasons: visitors weren't given a reason to come before the show, the stand doesn't give them a reason to stop, or the right people were never invited to meet. We start with one question — what do we want this show to achieve? — and design the audience strategy, invitations, stand experience and follow-up around the answer.
Can you plan VIP hospitality and executive meetings around G2E, ICE or any other trade show?
Yes. Customer dinners, VIP and executive programmes, premium hospitality and meeting programmes reach the senior decision-makers who rarely walk the show floor. Jennifer has led customer advisory boards, executive forums and VIP programmes internationally, and works with trusted local partners in Las Vegas, Barcelona and every major trade show destination.
How far ahead should we plan for G2E, ICE Barcelona or any other trade show?
The earlier the better — ideally three to six months. Stand concept, pre-show campaigns, meeting programmes and hospitality venues all need to be in motion well before the show, and the best venues book up early. But it's not too late to bring the Bowman Effect to your ICE Barcelona 2027 stand — and it's not too early to start talking about G2E 2027 either. Whichever show is next, a focused pre-show and follow-up plan can make a real difference.
Is exhibiting at trade shows worth the money?
It can be, when it's tied to clear commercial objectives and properly followed up. Our Marketing Investment Optimisation service provides an independent review of event and trade show spend — what to keep, change, cut or invest — with fees that can be linked to the savings delivered on larger programmes.
