Privacy
Your data, handled with the same discipline we preach.
The short version: this site sets no cookies unless you agree, sells nothing to anyone, and only uses what you send us to reply to you.
The details
Who we are
The Bowman Effect Ltd (“Bowman Effect”), Bibury, The Cotswolds, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@bowmaneffect.com.
Cookies & analytics
We use PostHog to understand which pages help visitors most. It only runs — and only sets cookies — after you choose “allow” on the consent notice. Declining is one click, the site works identically either way, and your choice is remembered in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a “no” automatically and don't show you the notice at all. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we don't use analytics data for advertising.
The contact form
What you submit through the contact form — your name, company, email, optional phone number and message — is delivered to our enquiries mailbox and used for one purpose: responding to you. It is never shared or sold, and you're only added to a mailing list if you explicitly tick a "keep me informed" box (see below). Email us at hello@bowmaneffect.com if you'd like anything you've sent us deleted.
Keeping you informed — and unsubscribing
The contact form offers optional, unticked boxes to hear about our news, services or events. If you tick one, that's consent for occasional emails on those topics only — the legal basis is your consent, and your submission (with what you ticked) is our record of it. The list is kept simply and privately in our own systems; it's not profiled, shared or sold.
Changed your mind? Use the unsubscribe page (just your email address, nothing else), reply "unsubscribe" to any update we send, or email hello@bowmaneffect.com. Removals are handled by a human and processed within a few working days — always well within the legal timeframe.
Hosting
The site is served as static files via a content delivery network, which processes IP addresses in ordinary server logs for security and delivery — the legal basis is legitimate interest, and we don't use those logs to identify visitors.
Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. For this site that's usually just your enquiry email — but ask any time at hello@bowmaneffect.com.
